Welcome to 2%er: This is My Story
There was a time when my life was defined by a constant loop of insanity. I was completely homeless, destitute, and living on the streets—shuttling in and out of jail cells, living the exact cycle of despair that the recovery literature talks about. I was trapped.
But eventually, the pain of staying the same became greater than the fear of change.
I got fed up. I was finally, truly ready to fight for my life. I was ready for recovery.
The Real Meaning Behind "2%er"
Many people think the name 2%er is just about the grim statistic— the reality that only a very small percentage of people find their way out of active addiction and stay clean. But to me, it holds a deeply personal, sacred meaning.
...It started with my best friend.
After years of running the streets together, he quit using. When I looked at him, I didn't see the exhaustion anymore; I saw a fire reignited in his eyes. I watched as opportunities began to find him, and doors that had been locked to us for a lifetime suddenly started swinging open.
Just like the literature says: I wanted what he had, and for the first time in my life, I was willing to go to any length to get it.
He became my inspiration, my daily motivation, and the voice in my ear telling me to keep pushing when everything in me wanted to give up. Together, against every single odd, we became the 2% who made it out of that destitute existence.
Why We Fight Back
I have watched addiction steal the lives of far too many people I love. This brand, this space, is my way of fighting back. It is with immense pride and honor that I built this platform—a place where survivors like us can gather, share our raw stories, and light the way for the ones still in the dark. Our apparel isn't for everyone. Its built for the fighters. The ones who have defied the odds, who kept moving forward when the world convicted them to a life of failure. Its for those who chose the pain of growth because the pain of remaining the same was no longer survivable. If you are here. you are not alone.
